Tickets are available to members and filmmakers on April 11. Tickets are open to the public on April 15.

Made Here Film Festival is a regional festival for filmmakers residing in New England and Québec. MHFF is New England’s only competitive festival dedicated entirely to films made by creatives based in our region. Made Here Film Festival takes place at Burlington Beer Company in an historic building constructed in 1903 as the North American factory of Auguste and Louis Lumière, the film pioneers often credited with the invention of motion pictures and the first cinematic presentations.

Since 1984, Burlington’s Chittenden Community Television (CCTV) has pioneered community media as a platform for activism and progressive change. Burlington, This Is You! excavates four decades of CCTV’s archive, documenting its pro-democracy work and the efforts of countless local change-makers as it lays the groundwork for the next generation of media activists. Join us for a preview of the work in progress followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Myles David Jewell.

Vermont Filmmaking 101: What You Need to Know

Hop over to The Media Factory for an introduction to filmmaking in Vermont. This workshop covers local resources, area film festivals, and industry organizations that can help jumpstart your career. Vermont film community advocate and VT Production Collective board member Brian Carroll shares insights on connecting with crews, accessing production resources, and getting involved in state legislative efforts to support Vermont’s film industry. Media Factory Education Manager Ross Ransom joins the discussion as well to share resources for new filmmakers.
