Q&A with producer/editor/cinematographer Hannes Hosp following the screening
Two-time Oscar-winning documentarian Barbara Kopple is back on the front lines of the U.S. labor movement, looking at three crucial labor battles in New York City, involving workers from UPS, Amazon, and deliveristas for DoorDash and GrubHub. For Kopple, this film rounds out her labor trilogy, which started in 1976 with coal miners in Harlan County, USA, then continued in 1990 with Minnesota meatpackers in American Dream. Kopple’s strengths remain in force—her deep empathy for working people, her journalistic instincts to follow the story, and her fearlessness and getting people to speak on the record. ~SM
