News & Notes — VTIFF seeking Part-time Development Officer

The Vermont International Film Foundation seeks a creative and articulate relationship-builder to work with the Executive director to serve as part-time Development Officer.
The Development Officer will be responsible for:
- Researching the most suitable CRM software for the organization (including ticketing, membership, volunteers and donors), implementing the system to maintain direct solicitation lists, fundraising files, track donations and acknowledge each donation in writing
- Conducting regular and extensive research on potential contributors
- Working with the Executive Director and Development Committee to develop strategies to cultivate existing and potential supporters, including donor appreciation events
- Networking with the business community to seek financial and in-kind sponsorships
- Working with the Executive Director and the Marketing & Development Committees regarding collateral materials needed for development activities.
- Assisting the Executive Director and Development Committee to organize online auctions and other fundraising events
Qualifications / basic job requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 3 years’ experience in development or fundraising – required
Familiarity with the arts scene in Vermont – preferred
Familiarity with CRM systems – preferred
Strong communication skills – verbal and written
Proficiency in computer skills
