Michelle Smith lives in rural Maine. She loves cats, the internet, cartoons — typical teenage interests. Except Michelle is anything but typical: she’s legally blind and autistic, and is trying to navigate the world, discover herself and become an adult. We follow Michelle as she studies at Perkins School for the Blind in Boston, explores her sexuality and finds love. Garrett Zevgetis’ poignant, visually dynamic and touching documentary profiles a young woman who doesn’t let fear or difference get in her way. ~EF
