Colorful, fanciful fun from the director of Tuvalu and Absurdistan. Fiddlesticks conjures the rakish fun of Our Gang and the whimsical cinematic spirit of Michel Gondry and Jean-Pierre Jeunet. A group of kindergarteners (convincingly played by actual 4 year olds), along with their equally prankish grandparents and their mascot (a croati named Fiddlesticks), wreak havoc on their oppressively average town in this buoyant romp of a comedy. Gotta love a film that features a Rube Goldberg-creating rodent, a cow-fart machine, and a series of Flight of the Conchords styled musical numbers! ~SJ
