This taboo-breaking film follows Antonio, a tetraplegic writer who engages a prostitute for clients with disabilities in his apartment and fights for the right of people with disability to access their own body and to enjoy their sexuality. This is a challenging work that dares its audience to venture into unfamiliar, maybe even radical territory, but it is the humanity at its core that makes it unforgettable. Here’s what Paula Willoquet-Maricondi, on the VTIFF Programming Committee, wrote after previewing the film: “Very interesting film. It is complex, philosophical and visceral; provocative on many levels. Not a film that our audience will easily forget.”.

The screening includes the short film The Making of Viktoria Modesta
