Tomas (Franz Rogowski) and Martin (Ben Wishaw) are a gay couple living in Paris whose marriage is thrown into crisis when Tomas impulsively begins a passionate affair with young schoolteacher Agathe (Adéle Exarchopoulos). But when Martin begins an affair of his own, Tomas must confront life decisions he may be unprepared—or unwilling—to deal with. “Sachs (Forty Shades of Blue, Keep the Lights On) has previously shown a canny knack for recognizing the often uncomfortable subtleties of relationships […]. Passages an eye-openingly explicit film, with one gay sex scene that is the most unfettered I have seen in relatively mainstream cinema for a long time, but otherwise emotionally restrained” ~The Guardian
