An abandoned apple orchard, rescued by chance, thrives under the caring hands of the people driven to rejuvenate this Vermont hillside, who encourage the trees to flourish where once they stood bent and broken. A four-season meditation on time, change, loss, and renewal.

Director statement:
How do you create an experience that will last? How do you change a person’s perspective? These are questions filmmakers continually ask. The answer (I think) happens over time. It cannot be forced. It lingers at the corners of the mind and is brought into focus slowly.
Whitman Brook Orchard resides on a hill at the far edge of a residential development. It awaits quietly on the road less traveled for those who notice. In creating this film, I hope to unfold a story of unexpected experiences that hold the power to change perspectives. This film is about life’s pace and observation. It’s a story of love, loss, renewal, and wonder.
